[Projects 2.0] :Temple floor plan questions
In looking at Floor Plan Option 2, there are a few details that I cannot figure out. I am sure these things have been discussed and explained at Council meetings, and I apologize for causing redundancy.
There are dashed lines along both sides of the Nave where the columns are located. What do these lines indicate? Are the two areas between the lines and the outer walls open to the center part of the Nave? Are the two side chapels open to the Sanctuary (Altar)?
One side chapel (on the south, I think) has a door opening to the outside. Does a person entering through that door have access to the rest of the building, or just to that chapel? It appears that the door is near the portico, but does not open into the portico. Is that intended?
In the Narthex, there is a door (again on the south side) opening into a very small room with a square object inside. Is that an HVAC equipment room? It would be helpful if it were labelled, whatever it may be.
I will appreciate any interpretive comments. Such comments would probably be useful in presenting the plan to the rest of the Parish also.
