Announcement: Migrate your workspaces to Zoho DataPrep 2.0

Zoho DataPrep 2.0 was recently launched with exciting new updates to the platform. You can read more about the new updates in the previous announcement. To take full advantage of the new data pipeline features, migrate your existing workspaces from the old 1.0 to the new 2.0 version.

Why migration is needed:

1. Pipeline builder: We have completely revamped the way you build and manage data pipelines with our visual pipeline builder where one can visualize the complete flow of data, from source to destination.

So, to move your existing data flows to the new pipeline builder, we need you to migrate the existing datasets.

2. Simplified collaboration: With the introduction of pipelines, we have also simplified sharing and collaboration with revamped roles. You need to map your users to the new roles appropriately during the migration process.

3. 1.0 is Deprecated as of September 12, 2024, with the launch of 2.0. We will withdraw all support for it by March 31, 2025.

How to migrate to 2.0?

To adopt the new changes, we have a migration wizard that will guide you move your workspaces from 1.0 to 2.0. We also have a complete step-by-step guide to assist you in performing the migration along with a walk-through video.

FAQs:

Will my workspace be affected in anyway if I decide to stay on the 1.0 version?

Your 1.0 workspaces will not be affected in anyway and you can continue to use them for your production workloads till you migrate.

Will the migration process be seamless and maintain my schedules?

Yes, the migration wizard will allow you to group different datasets together into pipelines, and also allow you to schedule the pipelines during migration.
