Can a view criteria use comparisons with data from a record in another form?

Can a view criteria use comparisons with data from a record in another form?

I'm trying to set up the criteria for a view based on fields in a record in a separate form, but it seems like you can't do that.  I've tried everything I can think of.  Is this possible?  How would you do it?
