Client User Responding to Forum Post

We have a client user who is responding to a forum post via e-mail. He clicks the button to reply, the correct e-mail address comes up, but the response is not making it into the project itself - not on the forum, nor anywhere else. He has encountered this issue multiple times now.

Any thoughts on what he may be doing wrong, if anything?
