Conditional Formatting Not Working

Hi, 

I am very excited about conditional formatting, but when I applied it to my calendar, and a few reports, Nothing happened. I followed the directions very closely.  In this example, the formatting is applied to a report in spreadsheet view, where I want the field "case" highlighted when the date due = today. Can anyone see why this isn't working?
