Constant Sync Errors 🙄

I'm constantly getting sync error notifications with no actual resolution.  

Also... I have folders and files with a (!) on the cloud icon, indicating it's not accessible. This has also led to the complete loss of certain folders. Like... the go missing! 

Also, I've tried re-installing the sync tool and then it duplicated on the folders - all ending with the number 2. This created a mess.  

I'm truly scared to keep using this tool if I can't trust it to actually save my folders and files.  Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? Or an adequate fix? 

Currently using 3.9.5, on a 2021 macbook pro M1 (Sequoia 15.2)
