Customer Portal

Would it be possible to to have a system variable that returns a user's Profile Name from the Customer Portal that then can be used to determine the user type in scripting?

Is there a plan for Profiles to be included when duplicating an Application? The ability to export a Profile and reload it into another version of the same Application would be equally good.
