Enhancements to Zoho Meeting Annotator
Hello Zoho Meeting Team,
Hope you are doing well.
We would like to share a few improvement suggestions regarding the Zoho Meeting Annotator used during screen sharing. While the current version provides helpful annotation tools, there are several limitations that significantly reduce its usability in collaborative sessions.
Requested Enhancements:
- Allow Participants to Annotate, Not Only the Presenter
At the moment, only the person sharing the screen can annotate or highlight. Other participants can only view the shared screen.
We would like to have an option for the meeting host to grant annotation rights to selected participants, enabling real-time collaboration and brainstorming.
- Support Annotation on Window/Tab Sharing
Currently, the annotator works only when sharing the entire screen. We request support for window or browser-tab sharing as well — this is often the preferred sharing mode for privacy and focus, and annotation capabilities are just as important there.
- Integrate the Annotator Natively (Remove Extension Requirement)
Today, using the Annotator requires downloading and installing a separate extension or executable (depending on OS).
We suggest integrating the annotation tools directly into the Zoho Meeting app and web interface, removing the need for external installation.
This will make the feature more accessible, improve user experience, and avoid installation or permission issues.
Summary:
- Add option for multiple users to annotate.
- Support annotation on window or tab sharing.
- Integrate annotator natively into Zoho Meeting.
These enhancements will make Zoho Meeting’s annotation capabilities much more practical and aligned with modern collaboration needs.
Thank you for considering this request and for your continued efforts to improve Zoho Meeting.
Best regards,
Ram
