I would like to be able to give a lookup field a default value, so that the user can tab straight over it if the default is correct.  This is particularly important when there is only one value to select from.  As it currently is, it is clumsy: the user has to click the down arrow and select the only value, which is two unnecessary mouse clicks.

 

Also: any chance Zoho could get rid of the word -Select- in these fields?  The nature of the field with the down arrow on the right hand end makes it pretty obvious that the user has to select something.  It is doubly annoying because the word -Select- also appears as the first item in the picklist.  (One tool I have used a lot, the late lamented Groove, gave the option on drop-down fields of presenting a blank, the first item in the list, or a selected item as the default value.  Very nice.)
