Hi, I would like to request Zoho enable multiple account handing. The current SSO process is extremely, extremely frustrating as someone who needs regular, frequent access to multiple accounts.
I understand Zoho's tagline "One Account. Access All Services" but I don't see why people can't have the option to switch accounts. Google is probably the best example of this. You login to Gmail with your default account, head over to Google Sheets and switch users so your child can view their school project, check your Gmail and it shows you mail for your default account - but gives you the option to switch to other accounts without having to logout. Etc.
I'll provide some background information to explain why I feel this is a necessary component to Zoho. Firstly, you offer so many apps that attract a large audience of people, all with different needs. Secondly, from a business standpoint, a lot of companies use your services, but don't use ALL your services.
I have multiple clients each with their own Zoho business account, and I need to be able to login to those accounts without it disrupting the workflow of the other business accounts. I have a different domain-specific login to each of those accounts, and I have my own personal Zoho account for billing/invoice purposes.
Issue 1 - I am careful to untick the "keep me signed in" checkbox every time I login, but I am always signed in to that account unless I specifically sign out and sign in as another user. Doesn't matter how much time passes, I never automatically get logged out.
Issue 2 - I've setup custom webmail logins for each client domain, which I also access for administrative purposes. If I was logged into Company A's
mail.aa.com yesterday and today I navigate to Company B's
webmail.bb.com and login with the correct Company B credentials, I get redirected to
mail.aa.com (Company A) with a login error, saying my login credentials are not correct. There's no way to log out of Company A from that page, so I have to navigate back to zoho.com, logout, and login to Company B from there.
Issue 3 - SSO makes it too easy to inadvertently add unwanted Zoho apps to the wrong accounts. Checking a SPAM issue in Zoho Mail for Company A and then checking the accounting in Zoho Books for Company B has led to accidentally adding apps to the wrong account more than once.
Ex: Logging Company A out of Zoho Books redirects you to the login page for Zoho Books. If Company B doesn't use Zoho Books and I accidentally login from there, your platform will log me in of course, but also will attempt to add Zoho Books to that account.
When setting up my Zoho Invoice account for the first time, I didn't realize I was still auto-logged in to Business B account. When I added my personal email address to create the account, I thought it had created my own Zoho account and I was logged in there. Turns out, it just added my personal email address to Business B account. Trying to unattach my personal email address from that business account so I could create my own Zoho account was a big headache.
Issue 4 - Trying to use Zoho Invoice to track my own hours and work on the above projects is impossible. Doing work for Business A. Logout. Login to my own Zoho account to update time sheet. Logout. Login to Company B. Provide support. Logout. Login to my Zoho account to update time sheet for Company B...etc. It's constantly back and forth. Furthermore:
Issue 4A - Zoho Invoice Timer extension issues. It is a GREAT little tool to more easily keep track of expenses instead of having to navigate to Zoho Invoice in my browser. However, if you manage more than 1 account as I do, it is a nearly useless tool. If you were last logged into a different Zoho account looking at webmail or whatever, the extension will pull that account (even if you don't have Zoho Invoice setup on that account). It throws an error "No organizations found!" error, but doesn't redirect you to a login window so you have to navigate to Zoho in your browser anyways just to login, then go back to the extension and start the timer. If you logged out of your Invoice account to login as another account for work, and later try to end the timer, you can't as you aren't logged in with your Zoho Invoice account. Back to the browser to login, back to the extension to stop the timer.
I feel like Zoho can definitely have the best of both worlds without sacrificing functionality or ease of access. In reality, multiple account handling would make lives exponentially easier for people in Web Development or Freelance like me who need to access multiple accounts on a regular basis.
