I LOVE the visual of the funnel analytics. I'm really excited about building them.

I've created one for a client's dashboard that isn't working the way I anticipated. I'll explain the thought process and then show screenshots.

I have a custom function that adds a note every time the Contact's "Stage" changes. The note title contains the completed stage's name (e.g. Stage 1: "Invited to Course", Stage 2: "Joined Course").

I then created a funnel component with criteria of

Stage 1: "Count of Contacts Created Time IN Last 365 Day containing Notes where Note Title contains "Invited to Course"

Stage 2: "Count of Contacts containing Notes where Note Title contains "Joined Course"

The idea behind this is simple — if someone hits Stage 1, the note will show up in the funnel at the first stage. If they hit Stage 2, it'll create a note and they'll hit Stage 2 WHILE ALSO showing up in stage 1 (because I want to see a total count of Contacts that have hit each stage). 

I thought it was clever! But it's not working. I currently have two contacts with a "Invited to Course" note and one of those contacts also has a "Joined Course" note, but my funnel only shows 1 person having been invited to course. See screenshots. Am I understanding this wrong?
