Great app... but I am looking for a broader project management solution!
First, a project is more than tasks and milestones.
You have done a tremendous job for this part I must admit.
So, here is what I would like to be able to do.
1- Generate a high-level weekly report without re-entering data in another file. Use the task list and associated tags to create a simple weekly report in PDF or as a presentation document.
2- There should be a better way to document the "gates". If we take the Stage-Gate (phases and gates) approach, then your tool is only useful to help me plan or schedule the phases and the milestones (gate meetings) - I am looking for a way to have also the project data embedded in the project management tool. I would like to be able to create a database-like environment with fields such as "Project definition", "Risks", "Budget", "Benefits", or "Pictures" (jpg) and re-use the data in a presentation or a text document without retyping or doing a cut-paste operation (risk of errors, non-value added work).
I currently use a non-productive mix of Word, Excel, Gantt Project and Powerpoint and find myself retyping everything because the formatting from one document to the other is not maintained (aaaargh Microsoft) and because there is no intelligence between the applications. I could do a VB programming job to have them "talk" together but I do not have the time for such a huge task.
So, I figure that there might be a way to link a "sheet" document with a task, a way to link data in a field with a milestone, a way to use the Zoho reporting tools to generate a weekly report.
