Hiding the left Projects and Users Panels

I personally would like to be able to hide the Projects and Users panel on the left hand side. Once I am working on a project I have never needed to use these panels and would prefer to use the space for the other views (eg Tasks, Documents, Timesheet etc). It would be nice if there was an option to hide the left hand panels.

Just a thought.
