Let’s talk about the Calendar module in Zoho Projects today. You can create and manage milestones, tasks, and bugs; manage events from your online project calendar. Here’s a deep dive into the topic.

What do the colour codes imply?
The colour codes help in understanding the type of entity that's scheduled in your calendar.

  • Blue - Milestone
  • Green - Task
  • Purple - Event
  • Orange - Bug

How are My Calendar (that’s in the Home tab) and Calendar (that’s inside any specific project) different?

  • In My Calendar, all the tasks, milestones,bugs, and events assigned to you across projects will be displayed 
  • In Calendar, the tasks, milestones, bugs, and events assigned to everyone in that specific project only will be displayed

Note: To span across months or years and view the status of activities scheduled / to be scheduled , make use of the vertical panel to your right.

How do I schedule an event ?

You can schedule events in two ways.
Go to Home->Project->Calendar->Events and click Schedule Event to create a new event.
(or)
Click on the date on which you wish to conduct the event in your project calendar that’s present in the Calendar section and schedule an event from the calendar directly.

Where do I view my upcoming events and elapsed events ?
Navigate to the Events section in the Calendar module to view your upcoming / elapsed events.

How do I cancel or delete an event from the calendar ?
Hover over any event in your calendar. When you hover left, the Trash icon shows up. Click it to delete the event. 

Is it possible to drag and drop the activities across different time spans?
Yes, it is possible to drag and drop them across days, months, and years. Refer to the following video for better understanding.


Can I sync the Zoho Projects Calendar with other calendar apps ?
Yes, you can sync the calendar with iCalendar, Google Calendar and MS Outlook.
