How to create a calculated field to summarize the deals in the Accounts form

Hi all
I'm working in the Accounts form. Below the detail of the Account are Notes, Attachment, Deals...
I have a list of the deals for each account. I would like to summarize the amount field below the list.
It seems I have to create a personalised field, but I can't find where to start.
