We purchase clothing items wholesale, embroider them with a company's logo, then resell. The garment style, size, color, etc. changes according to a customer's desire, so we don't track the individual item's purchase within Zoho Inventory unless there's an extra we keep. The purchase (Inventory Asset) is tracked as the order total.

How should we reduce this value when the pieces sell? It is my understanding Books/Inventory values can be adjusted but only if the specific items had been entered into Inventory in the beginning. (?)
