how to update account status both in account and contact fields?

Now we have “account status” both in account and contact fields. When I create a workflow to update the “account status” in contact field accordingly when I edit the “account status” in account, I found that it can only update one contact which has been chosen in the contact details of account, but usually I have more than one contact person in one account. How can I update all of the “account status” of all contacts ?
