I have developed some 20 internal apps for our company using Groove Forms because it was, a few years ago, the easiest way to develop shareable applications. Microsoft has failed to grasp the beauty of Groove and is now making it just an extension of SharePoint, a product I don't want to use. I have played around with Zoho Creator and am reasonably convinced it could do everything we need. I would like to migrate my apps to Zoho Creator but I dread the thought of re-creating so many forms and views with so much underlying logic.
Groove creates HTML forms with Javascript logic. Like Zoho Creator, it allows cross-table lookups ("cross workspace" lookups in Groove terminology). It should be a simple matter to port my apps across to Zoho if I could just cut and paste the HTML/Javascript from Groove into Zoho, but it doesn't seem that simple, in part because Zoho uses its own scripting language (very nice, very simple, but does the world really need yet another scripting language?)
Are there any shortcuts I can use to help me avoid totally redeveloping all my apps?
