Followed all the subform help pages and forum discussions I could find and still struggling to get a simple main form with linked subform data import to work. Been working on this for a few weeks now. The zoho help page here should be useful https://www.zoho.com/creator/help/forms/creating-subforms.html#Import_Subform_Data I find it flawed in a few ways.(1) It doesn't show you what to select during import. (2) It says ""items" column" when I believe it should say ""subform" column". (3) It doesn't show you the data completely in the screenshots and appears to only be "one to one" connections so one can't determine how to connect multiple subform rows to one single mainform row.
While importing, I can't find anywhere what I actually need to do with the "subform" column in the main form sheet and the "rec link id" column within the child sheet.
I assume the subform column maps to the subform zoho creator field field during import and that the "checkbox" for subform should be checked. This column is where I have a "1,2,3,4,5" and get the error in this post's subject.
During import, on my subform sheet, I left "Rec Link Id" unmatched to any fields in zoho creator and left the "checkbox" unchecked. There are 5 rows in my test data child sheet, with the numbers in the subform field as written above.
I can successfully import records in various ways, they just never are connected mainForm to subForm.
Can someone help / clarify?
Edit: I can get the first technique in Cyril's post to work. Is this an excepted technique by Zoho? Does it have any drawbacks? It is much more intuitive to me then the technique listed in zoho docs (and clearer). I still can't get the zoho technique to work and feel like I've tried all the different choices for selecting what to do with the "rec link ID" and "subform" fields. I'm working with the exact exported datasheet (with subform and mainform sheets) from a simple app and not editing it. I still can't import successfully linked sub/mainforms.
