Is it possible to get the IP from a website-name in ZC?

Is it possible to get the IP from a website-name in ZC?

I am wondering of ZC can be used for the reading of an IP-address that belongs to a website, like PING or http://www.selfseo.com/find_ip_address_of_a_website.php  can show?.  It could be possible within ZC, or, perhaps, by using a service to which you send a URL which returns the IP-address.


Reason:

I use opendns to protect my users on the home LAN. My old ISP allowed both a fixed IP and the sending of Dyndns info to TNS-O-MATIC on my router.

My new ISP does not allow me to use DynDNS type of updating to Opendns (through its DNS-O-Matic service). But it does allow the dyndns service of no-ip to be set. So if I ping the host ([mypage].no-ip.org) I do get the current IP.

Ideally: I would be able to read the current IP from my no-ip's page, then pass it on to dns-o-matic by posting a URL. This should happen maybe every half an hour? or the app should check every x-minutes, but only submit to dns-omatic if the IPs in no-ip and dns-o-matic are no longer the same.
