Hi,
I am trying to figure out my use case for the Campaign module in CRM and I'm a bit lost on a few things.
My use case is pretty traditional:
- loaded prospects as "Leads" in CRM
- Perform Telemarketing, send brochure via email, reach decision maker, eventually create a Deal
The set of activities described above are quite standard, hence I thought to create some Tasks templates like "Call_1", "Call_2" that are specific to a Campaign.
Naturally, I created those tasks from within the Campaign module, thinking there would be a way to then edit them inside of each lead/contact as the outcome might be different for each client.
With my regret, I discovered that the associated lead/contact gets populated with a simple "Campaign" record that it's not specific to the lead per se, but it links back to the general campaign module where it's been created.
So my quesitons are: what't the use case for the Campaign module in business terms? What's the use case of Tasks inside the campaign module for?
Is there a way to achieve what I am trying to achieve?
Had the same setup with a SIEBEL product 15 years ago and it seems strange it can't be possible in Zoho today.
