More Reminder Options

Why are the choices for when the task reminders go out so very very limited? For most of the tasks I'm assigning to people, reminding them the day before is way too late: if they haven't already started the work, it's too late.

A daily reminder is no good either: some tasks get assigned months in advance. Reminding someone every day that there's a task they'll have to start two months from now will just annoy them. Plus, I'd have to set this reminder for basically every task - since it's the only one that gives more advance warning than the day before - and so ultimately it's no different from the daily Work Task Reminder. Colleagues don't get any reminder for specific important upcoming tasks.

Why aren't there in-between options? One week before, two weeks before?
