Need to upsert "Created Time" field in Leads Module

Need to upsert "Created Time" field in Leads Module

I am in the process of implementing Zoho CRM for my business.

I need to modify the "Created By' field to reflect the actual date/time the lead was captured in my original Excel file. Otherwise, my conversion velocity data will always be inaccurate, which makes the value of this CRM very limited.

I did an initial import from a csv file to create my Leads database. But it established the "Created By" date as the date/time I did the csv import.

From research, it seems that Zoho CRM includes the both the record creator's user ID and the date/time in the "Created By" field. But I'm happy to be corrected on this. However, when I export the Leads Module database that I have created, I see a field named "Created Time", so this is what I have used for my new import file that I am using for the upsert operation.

I have tried two methods...

Method 1:
Leads Module > Import Leads >

But the "Created Time" (or "Created By") field is not available in the dropdown options:

Method 2:
1. Settings > Data Administration > Import > Other CRM (Excel)
2. Mapped csv to Leads Module (Upsert Operation)

But it fails to update any records:

It is essential that I can set the date the record was created in order for any and all analytics and reporting to be even close accurate.

I'm also going to need to upsert the Created Time on the Leads I've converted to deals - I have no idea how to do this either!

Any assistance is appreciated :)

Problem: We use quotes which convert to sales orders but Users / Sales Reps do not create opportunities / deals and go straight to creating a quote. This leads to poor reporting. Implementing this solution improves reporting and makes it easier for users.

Please note that the quote will be sent as an inline email content and not as a PDF attachment. Please follow

    • Function #37: Create a Purchase Order from a Quote

Welcome back everyone! Last week, we learnt how to calculate the total number of activities for a lead and further take note of the activity count for particular dates.
