Please Wait... submitting a public record-edit

I email a link to edit a form to my public users in the following format

https://creator.zohopublic.com/<user>/<appname>/<formname/record-edit/<form_report>/<record ID>/<public key>

The record is displayed correctly. But when they hit Submit the form is never saved. The Please Wait... stays on the screen. However if I am logged into my Zoho account on another tab the record saves properly.

I have removed all the code in the On Validate and On Success sections and it still will not save for a public user.

The form_report is visible to All and has Edit checked.

This is a complex form with subforms, signature fields, lookups etc. There are over 130 fields which might be pushing some Zoho limits.

Any suggestions.
