Recurring Invoice Placeholder Not Updating Billing Period

Hi,

I’m using Zoho Invoice Free and want the billing period to update automatically in recurring invoices.

In Item Description I tried: Billing Period: %(m-6)% %(y)% to %(m-1)% %(y)%

but even if the invoice date is in 2026, it still shows the period based on the start on date ! Is there a way for the billing period in recurring invoices to be generated based on the invoice date rather than the recurring profile start date?

Summary      
Recurring invoices profile start on date: 01/01/2025
Invoice generated on 23/04/2026
Desired billing period on invoice: Jan 2026 – Mar 2026
Current behavior: still shows Jan 2025 – Mar 2025
