Reserved characters in notification emails

When I create a forum post in a zoho project and have notification emails sent to project users, things like server addresses and directory paths look fine in the forum post but are problematic in the notification email if reserved characters such as backslashes are removed.
For example \\myserver\mydirectory is displayed correctly in the post but ends up as \myservermydirectory in the email.

I'm sure there is a simple workaround for this and would love to hear it. My project users are not all savvy enough to know when or when not to insert a backslash, and many do not visit the site as much as they just read the notification emails.
