Same day dependencies

Is there any way to change the logic so that I can select a dependency where the dependent task starts the same day as the required task? E.g., I want my engineer to design a housing based on my sketches. If I set my sketches task to be due on Thursday, I want the engineer's dependent task to start on Thursday. Right now, I have to move it to Friday.
