- Zoho Creator ( on using ZC-ZInv Integration)
Recently, I have been working on the ZC ZInv integration for a client
The idea was to generate an invoice (from ZInv ) and send it to the customer via ZC- Form submit.
I understand that the pre-requesite for generating an Invoice via ZC (or any other app) is to have the customer info already present in the ZInv settings.
So, it is only fitting that we run a "
Search for a customer @ ZInvoice" action
and if YES - Generate and send invoice
.... if NO - Add New customer and send invoice
WE are able to send invoice to existing customers, and Add new customer - send invoice/ -- so far so good.
But
,
we are unable to "Search for a customer @ ZInvoice" using ZC integration task
My next option was to use the regular API methord to search for a customer
ZInvoice team confirms this is not possible

Unfortunately, We don't have option to search via API. However, we will have your request counted on our database and keep you updated if there is an update on your request in search
why so? .. isnt this a logical thing to do before generating an invoice ?
Makes me wonder why such a logical option was omitted ?
Is it just me, or does no one really checks if the customer exists before sending the invoice ?
Willing to correct myself, if my understanding is wrong
