Tip 38: Project Custom Section and Custom Status
You can now customize your project layout with new sections, custom fields, and project status. Every project will have a default layout called the Standard Layout. All the projects in the portal will be associated with this layout. Project Information and Budget are the two default sections available in the Standard Layout. These sections consist of the default fields that can neither be edited nor deleted. You can add new sections and fields to the standard layout.
How do I customize new sections in the project layout?
The fields can be set as mandatory fields and you can also add tooltips to them. The customizations you save in the layout will be available when you create a new project or edit a project.
How do I customize project status in the layout?
After customizing new statuses and saving it to the layout, you can update your project’s status directly from the projects list view or when you edit a project.
