Have you ever come across a thread in your inbox that should have been handled by a different team or inbox? Or maybe you've wrapped up your part of the conversation, but another team needs to step in to finish the task or assist further?
Keeping such threads in your inbox can cause clutter, delayed responses, and missed follow-ups.
You can easily move such threads across different inboxes! If a thread belongs to another team or requires a different level of expertise, simply move it to the correct inbox. This ensures the right team handles the conversation, improves response time, and keeps your inbox organized.
There are four different ways to move threads across inboxes in Zoho TeamInbox.
Move threads by a manual drag-and-drop.
You can drag-and-drop the threads to move them from one inbox to another. Simply drag the thread, position it over the desired inbox, and release it to drop it in place.
Move threads using the “Move” option.You have the option to move thread to another inbox from the preview pane.
- Click open the thread that you’d like to move.
- Click the Move icon from the options given in the preview.
- Select the desired inbox, and click Move.

Move threads from the listing pane.
You can move threads to another inbox directly from the listing pane.

Move threads by creating rules.
Rules in Zoho TeamInbox let you move threads from one inbox to another automatically. Define the condition based on which you want to move the thread. When the condition is met, the rule will then automatically move the thread to the inbox that you’ve chosen.

We have a contact ,module which then has a link to customer assets which in turn the asset has a multiple link to service visits. When we link assets to customers we choose by name and it brings over the associate email via the lookup. Great feature.
