tracking payment to contractors

Hi,

We currently use zoho crm, project and invoice. Many of our projects are completed by temporary contractors. Is there anyway in zoho to track our payments to these contractors? In a perfect world we would like to link those payments to completed milestones in zoho project. If the functionality is not there is it something we could built for us using the APIs?
