Uploaded pdf file column in a report: View instead of Download on click

Uploaded pdf file column in a report: View instead of Download on click

Is there a way where on click the pdf files uploaded can be just viewed in a seperate browser tab? Right now users are forced to download and then open. 

The pdf links show up in the column. 

Also, is there a way to conveniently set  a filename for display? Some uploaded files have huge names etc and look ugly in the reports. Or are we stuck with whatever filenames are set when the file was uploaded?
