I am a engineering student and I always have a hard time typing out symbols such as x-bar, V-dot, H-hat, H2(subscript)O, T1(subscript),T2....\pi \alpha \rho....

The solution I come out will is pretty simple.
I modified the auto correct list to include
_1 --> (subscript)1
_2 --> (subscript)2
...
for all number and a to Z

same goes for
^2-->(supersubscript)2
and all the Latex symbol
\pi \rho \pm \times ....
