weird behavior of task timer in timesheet

Hi:

I tried using the task timer on a test task today and when I was done, the time spent was added to the timesheet, but with the following quirks:

1) The entry shows up in the right amount and on the right day in the calendar view of the timesheet, but clicking on the link shows "no log hours for (date)" in the window above the calendar.

2) Clicking on the time entry for the PREVIOUS day, however, brings up the detail window above, with all the time logged yesterday, PLUS the time I logged today from the timer funtion. It even shows the date of the task as today, even though it shows up in yesterday's list of tasks.

what's up with this?
