Zoho Creator is too expensive!!!

Zoho Creator is too expensive!!!

Now that I have your attention...

Don't get me wrong, I think ZC is a formidable tool! The more I learn how to use it and the more I am impressed by its applications. You can pretty much build any kind of business logic without too much hassle and Pages and chart allow for building relevant dashboards.

That said, at its core, the software is missing a couple of features that would justify its pricing. For the same price, here are a few key features missing in ZC that are provided out of the box by competitors like Ragic, Airtable, Smartsheet, etc, for similar price.

Emailing records
All the previously mentioned app allow front end users to select multiple records and send them by email to users from the app. Records are sent by email in a table and/or as PDF attachment.

Record Notifications
Similarly, ZC is missing the feature to allow front end users to set reminders for specific records by themselves without requiring backend/workflow setup. This allows for users to set custom reminders for tasks and other important milestones

Record commentings
Basic basic basic. This should not even be a discussion. Where are comments? Where is my little comment icon at the start of each row to a pop-up allowing me to drop a comment?

Front-end record Audit
Finally, whereas this feature exists in the back end, the information is nowhere available to front end users who would like to view the recent changes by records. For a lot of companies, tracking changes to record is crucial and Audit trails is the only way to go.

Now before you, very efficient team of customer support, jump in. I know this can be done using stateless form to collect data and workflows to create the mentioned features. I went through the hassle and created the features for my apps, it works ok...

But what I'm saying here is that those features are too basic to be missing in a product like Zoho Creator. They are available in other Zoho products I'm sure and for the same price, they are available by your competitors.

Please pass this to the appropriated concerned team to consider on the possibilities of implementing this in the future... indeed ;-)
