I'm been designing with Creator on and off for some time now and invested a fair amount of time to appreciate the feature and functionality of the software. Overall it is simple to design a functional business application, with most of the critical features (field actions, scheduler, deluge) covered or with workarounds (adding a button on a report/stateless form is clumsy). 

However, there are a few things I cannot do without to make the applications competitive in the marketplace. I have used Oracle, SAP, Dynamics AX, Dynamics GP, Quickbooks, MYOB, Peachtree, etc. etc. but, other than building applications for some very niche market, Zoho Creator is not competitive. 

A few things I think necessary to take the platform to the next level:

- massive improvement in UI. Currently I cannot change the font size, layouts, subforms dimension, button locations, etc. etc. Only single column or two column layout, subform width bounded by the width of the column, etc. It all looks..... amateur-ish. 

- a new report writer architecture (think Crystal reports) with better flexibility to create reports, layouts, transaction tickets (e.g. a pick ticket for warehouse) and printing engine (background printing to various printers).

I'd like to hear what else you'd like to see to put on the road map, or may be when enough of us make the same requests, Zoho can accelerate and allocate resources to make it happen.
