Zoho projects to google apps

I was reading on this article that you can sync your Google apps. So I made a google apps domain/account and installed the Zoho Projects marketplace app. I don't know what to do next. In the article, that looks a bit outdated, it shows an export option next to your tasks. Do my Zoho users have to be using google apps accounts and not simple gmail or hotmail accounts?
