Quick document creation
Hi there, First of all, congrats for a great tool! I'm using it on a daily basis and find it very useful. One thing I happen to miss several times was the ability to be able to create a quick plain text file for notes; it could be a post-it like or just a tiny editor, no text format needed. The workaround for this now is to upload a document but this involves several clicks and time. My 2 cents. Thanks! F. fede
Interim milestones
In our business, we have multiple interim milestones we have to achieve to reach major milestones. I have just started using Zoho Projects. Is there a way to create "nested" milestones?
Time recording
i would like to see some method of grouping time spent on tasks please. In our tech support office I want to record time spent on a number of specific tasks over the year. Tasks would include Tech support, Training etc etc. Each team member has their own version of each task. Perhaps tasks could have an "include in time tracking" flag so that only those tagged as such would get included in cumulative reports. Thanks - geoff geoffwebber

It seems that Zoho project competes very well with Basecamp (http://www.basecamphq.com/) I would like to see a way to send invoices. Blinksales (http://www.blinksale.com/) integrates with Basecamp to solve this problem. Your software seems to have more features and potential than Basecamp. salim_jordan

Offline sync for instant page load
Is there a chance that Zoho products work on-line and off-line, so that there is no (or minimum) latency when loading pages ? Unable to Log Time
I created a test task. Then I went to 'Timesheet' and tried to add time associated with the task. The Task dropdown lists '--No Task--' and not my test task. salim_jordan
Improve Edit/Add Client Interface
I have signed up for and am testing both Zoho Projects and Zoho CRM. The interface for adding Accounts, which can be thought of as clients from a Project Management point of view is HEAPS better. I have attached screenshots to compare. I think Zoho Projects Edit Client view should include most (if not all) of the info that Zoho CRM collects. Also, note how in Zoho CRM an Account can have a Parent Account. For me this is big. I have a client for example (a design firm), that subcontracts work to me.
Timesheet across all projects
Is there a way to export a timesheet across all projects for all individuals? I find it very difficult to go into each project and find individual timesheets for each project. Same with the Calendar, a place to see an overall calendar. Also, have the Meeting times with a Start / Stop time or at least time allotment that goes into the timesheet so meetings count towards hours worked.

I attempted to purchase a package numerous times today and each time the Zoho payment processing fails. I receive an indefinite processing request message (sorry - do not remember exact verbiage). I do not receive a server error message just an indefinite processing. I like the product and would really like to upgrade from the free to a purchase plan but this is definitely affecting my confidence in your company's image. I hope this message reaches you. How to see a master calendar
I have set up 4 projects in Zoho Projects. I want to see a master calendar that has entries from all projects. How do I do that? Same thing with tasks. I want to see the tasks from all four projects in one view. How do I do that? Also, sometimes I create a task/forum post, etc. in one project, then realize I want it on another project instead. Provide another project solely for FAQ, Documentation, and T
I want most Users restricted to seeing only a single project(for purposes of Tasks & Milestones), but I would like them ALL to have access to a central Forum (ie, for FAQs) and Documents (ie, Project Standards Docs, Blank Forms, etc). In this respect, they need have NO ACCESS to Quickbooks. Is there a better way than to set up one ZOHO project, to which I add every single user? Definition of Milestones
I started working with Projects today. I am sort of liking it. The term "Milestones" is misleading. Traditionally a milestone is a point in time. You are using it to define a period of days that is more than one. I think it would be more appropriate to call this a "Project Phase". So you would have a Project Phase. within that phase, you would have tasks and meetings. Optimally you would also have milestones but these would have to be of a duration of max one day and min zero time. bob
Speed is STILL an issue
Why is Zoho STILL so slow? This is one of the primary factors that is preventing me and our team members who are testing this from moving ahead and recommending this tool institution wide for our educational institution. We like the convenience, the suite of tools that can be incorporated, but good god, this makes Blackboard seem like the speediest application known to human kind. You can now choose to send the forum post mail notification to select users from the project users list (before, it was for everyone or noone) 2. Each forum discussions can now be viewed in expand/collapse mode (saving page space while listing all discussions). Use the 'More'/'Less' links at the bottom of each post 3. In case a forum post contains URLs, these can now be clicked upon 4. Quick Create dropdown menu for all 'New'

Hi, I really like your Zoho Projects product and have a small design team I would like to try manage with this product, however, one of our requirements is a calendar that spans across all projects. On Error: Meeting cannot be scheduled on expired timeline
If a meeting has happened in the past, yet the time of it changed, you cannot go back and edit as having occurred at a different time. In this case, there was a typo and the meeting had occurred at 10:30pm yet it was scheduled for 10:30am. User should be able to adjust meetings which have occurred in the past to reflect actual time they occurred. daniel.alexander

Tip 5 : Document Search,Preview Images & Thumbnail View
In Zoho Projects documents can be searched based on tags or based on file extensions. In order to search documents, Under Documents tab , on the top right corner choose the mode of search (by tag/by extension) in the selection combo and enter the tagname or extension name in the text field next to the combo. it would be very helpful to be able to see meetings across projects on the calendar. there should at least be a toogle at the top to change the view. i may have to switch to some other PM tool because of this lack. carlab

When I create documents with Zoho writer, sheet and/or show how can I import them directly into the document folder for a specific Zoho project? The latest Zoho Projects update added some new features. Listing them here : 1. The encoding of the mails being sent can now be configured to suit different languages. 2 The time format can be am/pm or the 24 hour style and the date format cane be dd/mm/yy, mm/dd/yy or a few other options. 3. The �Powered by Zoho� logo at the bottom is now customizable. And it can be linked to the company web address that you provide. 4. Hi, After testing and testing and testing a couple of dozens online project management solutions, we have found that yours (zoho projects) is by far the best and most complete solution. Your work done here is really impressive. Our organization is in Spain and most of the workers dont speak English, is there any way, or are you planning to offer language settings, for the most important languages beside English (in this case Spanish).
