How to convert leaving visitors into hot leads?

Attracting potential visitors to the site, grabbing their interest, retaining and converting them into customers is hard enough. For which, knowing the info of the visitor who visits your website is important, but knowing the info of the visitor who leaves your website is even more important in online business.

There are numerous reasons for which the visitors leave your website like, they could not find help, or couldn't reach you immediately when struck, your website navigation structure may be unclear, your price may be higher than the competitor's price, and so on. However, to find a solution, you should know the exact reason why people leave your website without buying.

SalesIQ brings the power of converting your abandon visitors into customers through the new little addition in the Intelligent triggers module. You can find a new option added to the 'when the visitor' field as ' Leaves my website ' which will trigger an action when the visitor leaves your website. With this trigger, you can update a field in CRM, add the visitor to a mailing list in Zoho Campaigns with the visitor data based on the activities performed by the visitor in that particular visit ( Note : Configuring this feature is same as setting a trigger to automate the process of sending chat invites to the website visitors.)

Benefits

  • Update the CRM Field : You can update the CRM Leads/Contacts field based on the visitor's activity when they leave your website.

    For example Assume that you own an online furniture selling website, and you find a particular page attract the visitors but doesn't do any business. So you would like to update the leads visiting and leaving the "Recliner - Furniture" page to a field in Zoho CRM for a sales follow-up.

    Then, you can set the automation rule to update your Zoho CRM field. First, create a field "Exited" in Zoho CRM and then map the field in the intelligent trigger rule.

    Now when the visitor leaves your website after visiting the recliner furniture page, then the "Recliner" will be updated in the Exited field of your CRM.



  • Create Campaign Email List : You can now create a campaign email list by configuring the condition and criteria based on the website visitor's activity.

    For example : If you wish to send a Seasonal offer email campaign to the visitors who leaves the "Recliner - Furniture page" without purchasing. 

    Then, you can set the rule to add the visitors to the mailing list "Recliner - end of season sale." So, the visitors who showed interest in the product would revisit to avail the offer.



  • Dynamic Campaign Email List : You can create dynamic campaign mailing list targeting different types of website visitors, i.e., you can add the visitors to the campaign in a periodic interval (weekly or monthly) by configuring different criteria and condition.

    For example If you wish to accumulate the visitors who leave your website from the "Recliner-Furniture" page throughout the week and send discount vouchers to convert them as customers.

    Then, you can set the rule to add the visitors who leave your website from the "Recliner - Furniture" page. Further, create a campaign email list "Recliner-Discount Voucher" and choose the weekly option. The visitors will be accumulated and sent the discount voucher on a weekly basis. 



How to configure this automation in SalesIQ?

  1. Go to Settings -> Automation -> Intelligent triggers.
  2. In "When the visitor" drop-down, select "Leaves my website."
  3. Then, choose your criteria and condition in "And if" section.
  4. In the "Select an action" drop down, you will find two sections Update to CRM and Add to Mailing list.
  5. Choose an action. 
  • Update to CRM: You can update the CRM Lead/Contact module's field when the visitor leaves your website. Choose a CRM module in the drop down where you would like to update the info.

    1. Update to Lead - This option will help you to push the info to the chosen field in the Leads module.
    2. Update to Contact - This option will help you to push the info to the chosen field in the Contacts module.
    3. Update to Lead/Contact - This option will help you to push the info to a common field either in Leads or in Contacts module (i.e., Whether the visitor is a lead or converted as a contact in your CRM, the info of the visitor will be updated to the common field in either of the modules.)



  • Add to the mailing list: With this option, you can add the visitors directly to the campaign email list when they leave your website.
