Yes, now it is possible with SalesIQ. Today I am going to explain about a fascinating feature "Custom Triggers". We may have different types of visitors to our website every day, looking for different products, so how to treat them uniquely in contrast to one another and convert them into our customer. Follow the underneath examples to execute your own thoughts to trigger an action to your website visitors.

What Is Custom Triggers?

The custom trigger permits you to actualize and execute your own trigger actions to your website visitors. In the event that you are well verse in coding, create your own script and Implement the code in the website and enter the parameter name in the Invoke JSAPI section. Set a criteria and condition in your SalesIQ for which type of visitor you might want to trigger the action.

The Invoke JSAPI option is available in the Automation -> Intelligent Triggers.

Let's see 3 examples on how the custom triggers can be utilized in your business environment.

Example 1:

A deal-of-the-day recommendation service for consumers company might want to sort and display the list of related deals available to the visitor from the specific City. If the visitor is from Pleasanton city then the trending deals available in Pleasanton should appear.

  • Set the rule in SalesIQ as “When the Visitor” accesses any page on my website and “if the” city of the visitor is Pleasanton, then Invoke the JSAPI "with the trigger name" Deals in Pleasanton "after" 5 seconds.

  • Implement the code in your page source with the trigger name "Deals in Pleasanton" which will sort and rundown the deals accessible for the visitor in the Pleasanton city.

Example 2:

A sales representative of an information technology company likes to display a 20% discount banner on the pricing page, just to the visitors with CRM Potential more than $10000 revenue in pipeline. At least 100 visitors visits the website every day, but its not possible for a rep to separate the visitor with CRM potential whose revenue in the pipeline is more the $10000, and display the discount banner real time on the website. So a rule is set to separate the visitor with CRM potential whose revenue in the pipeline is more than $10000 and using the custom triggers the Discount banner is displayed to the visitor.

  • Set the rule in SalesIQ as "When the visitor" accesses any page on my website, "and if" CRM Potential, Revenue in pipeline is more than $10000 "then" Invoke JS API with the "trigger name" Discount Banner "after" 5 seconds.

  • Now, implement the code with the trigger name "Discount banner" in your page source.

  • When the visitor with CRM Potential revenue in pipeline more than $10000 visits your website, then the banner which demonstrates the 20% discount and the code will be displayed.

Example 3:

An online magazine website would need to know the visitor's interest and suggest some additional recommendations based on the selected magazine. In the event that the Visitor has picked Sports magazine, then the top selling Sports magazine with the value and rating will be displayed in the Top Sports Suggestions.

  • Set the rule as "When the visitor" accesses any page on my website "and If" current page title contains Sports "then" Invoke JS API "with the trigger name" Top Sport Suggestions "after" 5 seconds.
