Updates in Email and Inventory templates: Cloning across modules, setting default font, and more
Hello everyone,
We have introduced the following enhancements in email templates:
- Cloning templates across modules
Email templates can now be cloned across modules. For example, a template present in the Leads module can be cloned to the Contacts module.
- The unsupported merge fields in a template will be marked in red. You can select and replace them with a suitable field or remove them from your template.
- User attributes supported in merge fields
Apart from the standard merge fields that are present in a module, you can include the following system defined field attributes: - Created By
- Shared By
- Record OwnerFor example, ${Lookup:Modified By.First Name} merge field will display the First name of the user who modified the record.
- View individual tax percentage in Inventory Templates
Earlier the ${Quotes.Individual Tax in Perc} merge field displayed the cumulative tax rate of a product. Now, if a product has multiple tax rates associated with it, we will display the individual tax rates. For example, if the sales and vat tax of a product are 5% and 2% respectively, the merge field displays 7%. Now, the merge field will display the taxes individually such as: Sales Tax: 5%, Vat: 2%.
