Adding Custom Buttons to Standard Modules?

Is it possible to add a custom button at the Page layout level for pages such as the Potentials page? It would be at the same level as the Edit/Delete/Clone/Print Preview buttons. I'd like to add a button that triggers some business logic on the current Potential record.
