Additional Storage Pricing Issue
I discovered a pricing discrepancy in Zoho Recruit's additional storage add-on pricing. This happened after we reached our limit of included storage. Their advertised pricing under their online admin and user guides clearly stated 5 additional gigabytes for $4 USD per month (screenshot attached). However, when I tried to purchase this additional space, the pricing was coming up as 1 additional gigabyte for $3 USD per month. When I called support and showed them the pricing, they immediately said that this was a mistake on their website that they would have fixed. I explained that this pricing has been there for at least as long as I can remember, and that it is basically false advertising and/or bait and switch practices and they should honor the pricing advertised from their own site. I was told that the issue had to be escalated and that I would receive a call within 24 hours with an update. The bigger problem was that I was told that if I didn't purchase the additional storage at the $3 USD for 1 gig pricing, I would not be able to continue uploading documents/adding records under our account, which would have shut our operation down. I made it clear to the support tech that I felt they were holding my account hostage and forcing me to purchase the storage at the inflated price and that I was only doing it because I couldn't shut down my company. It's been almost a week now, and I have yet to receive a call, or a response on the several e-mails I have sent to support to follow up on the issue. I called again today, and was again told they they would have the site fixed shortly. Again, I said I wasn't calling about them fixing their site. I was more concerned about them honoring their advertised pricing. And again, I was told that I would have to wait to hear back on the escalated issue...another 24 hours. Then, about 1 hour after I made this last call, the pricing under the user guides magically changed to $3 USD for 1 gig. I can only imagine what they will tell me when/if they call back.
