Am I missing something with the Data Processing Basis feature ?

Hello, 

Is there a way to have the Data Processing Basis feature activated by default ? At the moment, it is "unapplicable", it means the switch is off and I have to do manually for each candidate in the database.

The consequence is that if the switch stays off, the "consent tab" does not appear in the candidate portal and therefore the candidate can't update his consent like he should normally be able to to do it.

Please advise. I am lost.
