App Menu Behavior

The Zoho App menu (9-square icon in most applications) is currently a pop-up interstitial that needs to be manually closed after an app is selected. That behavior is sub-optimal.

As an example, if I am in CRM and use the app menu to open (and go to) Workdrive, when I return to CRM, the interstitial menu is still open, needing to be manually closed.

I would argue that the menu should automatically close when an app is selected. This is how Google (as an example) behaves, and it feels much more natural.

Obviously, this isn't a huge deal. But it is a minor annoyance, and I think changing the behavior would be considered positive nearly universally.
