Avoiding Inventory Duplication When Creating Bills for Previously Added Stock

Avoiding Inventory Duplication When Creating Bills for Previously Added Stock

I had created several items in Zoho Books and manually added their initial stock at the time of item creation. However, I did not record the purchase cost against those items during that process.

Now, I would like to create Purchase Orders and convert them to Bills in order to properly reflect the accounting side (i.e., supplier invoices and cost). However, since inventory tracking is enabled in my organization, I am concerned that converting a PO to a Bill will duplicate the inventory, as the stock has already been manually added.

Please advise on the best method to record the cost via Bills or POs without affecting or duplicating the existing inventory levels.
