Blacklisted Using MA

Blacklisted Using MA

Hi!

Here is a setup that keep getting us blacklisted on Spamhaus CSS. I have a question on how to solve this so that we don't get blacklisted all the time.

  • Our website is with a supplier (third-party vendor). The page is on a Plesk webserver. This hosted server has an IP-address that the supplier owns.
  • We use Microsoft Exchange online as our mail provider.
  • We have Zoho Marketing Automation to send marketing emails. The domain and sender are verified. Domain has enabled DKIM and SPF under settings within Zoho MA.

Now we are listed due to incorrect HELO (domain lookup = third-party vendor IP) this IP is doesn’t correspond to our domain.  Because third-party have other customers on their plex environment they cannot just change lookup.

Is this solved by external DNS change?

Or

Ii it solved by plesk server settings?

Or

other solution?

ERROR

Why was this IP listed?

95.217.112.106 is making SMTP connections which indicate that it is misconfigured, AND it is also showing signs of poor list hygiene.

 What should be done about it?

Both the misconfiguration and the list hygiene issues need to be addressed.

 Fixing the HELO

Please correct the mail server's HELO 'wp-server.localdomain' and if needed, configure it with correct DNS (forward and reverse) and HELO/EHLO values. Here is an example:

Correct HELO/DNS/rDNS alignment for domain example.com:

 Mail server HELO: mail.example.com

Mail server IP: 192.0.2.12
Forward DNS: mail.example.com -> 192.0.2.12

Reverse DNS: 192.0.2.12 -> mail.example.com

Correcting an invalid HELO or a HELO/forward DNS lookup mismatch will stop the IP from being listed again.
