Branded resume format problem

Please see attached document with screen shots of branded resume format problem. Basically, if my settings are such that I want to maintain the original format of the resume but add a watermark or a logo and save as a doc or pdf, the original format of the resume is not maintained but altered in a not so pleasing fashion. Can you please tell me if I am doing something wrong or if this is not working as intended? I want to brand my resumes but I would like the client to see the resume as the candidates designed it with just a logo or watermark superimposed.
