Calendar date picker closes new Task or Milestone without saving

Calendar date picker closes new Task or Milestone without saving

I am trying to set up my first Project and I was able create an initial Task and Milestone, but now when I try to create new ones, as soon as I click on a date in either the Start or End calendar the dialog box disappears and nothing saved. I am using the latest Chrome browser (it reports its version as  22.0.1229.91 beta-m)
Everything else seems to be working fine. I have a free account while I kick the tires and see what this product can do. Can't I have more than task or milestone?
