Change Hire Date

Is there a way to manually change the Hire Date? I need to have an accurate hire date, but if a candidate starts with a client before I am in front of my computer (esp. since the mobile app is 2 years delayed), their Hire Date (or Start Date) can be off until I do my record-keeping. Any suggestions?
